The Poison that is Nancy Grace

I have for years endured the cackling stupidity of this so called woman spraying venom of hatred across the airwaves attempting to sway the masses from a platform of biased opinion that gives no room for disagreement or logical and rational discussion.  Nancy Grace is a bully of the worst kind.

Tirade after tirade based on misplaced and often incorrect facts and figures are part of the arsenal this woman employs to manipulate her audience.  She ignores the facts in lieu of her conservative and often regressive opinions.  She gives no platform to detractors and attacks them with a venom so aggressive her guests are often left at a loss for words not from the intelligence of her argument but the pure insanity of her remarks.  I am an avid believer than everyone should be able to express their opinions, freedom of speech is a beautiful thing and Nancy Grace has every right to express her freedoms.  So I cannot blame her actions for the continued spread of her poison, instead I blame those who have given this parasite a platform in which to spread her lies and bigotry.  I blame us the viewers for giving her platform merit, and I blame those who support her for shared bigotry.  In a rational world she would be laughed at as just another street performer but in a world of continued propaganda campaigns against logical thought she has been employed as the proverbial poison in the well.

The words of this poison are not directed toward free thinkers but those of the mob mentality.  How many have suffered under the dishonesty and tyranny of this so called host?  How many innocents have been set upon with torches and pitchforks for the over hyped fear mongering this woman has incited.  She judges people guilty based on her own disillusioned preconceived notions and ignores evidence and facts that contradict her beliefs.    She is the epitome of what every decent and rational person fights against, a fear mongering tyrannical bigot who uses her platform to falsely accuse and bully often innocent people who come on her show hoping to explain their side of a story or have a logical debate based on facts, but what these people are treated to is a barrage of hated filled accusatory questions and accusations based on little more than her own delusional thoughts.

Nancy Grace is directly responsible for the suicides of two people yet she is still on the air even after settling a lawsuit for her actions, she has twice been called before the state supreme court for prosecutorial misconduct.  Is this truly a person anyone should idolize.  If this is an example of the future of idolatry I am disheartened, if we are to have idols then let those idols be a shining example of what we could be not an example of humanity at their lowest.  Her show is about nothing other than drama porn, a way for her to satiate her ego and her viewers to satiate their lust for violence and drama.  This is not progressive thinking if we are excited by people like her who parade their kids around on national television yet criticize others and accuse them of child abuse for doing the same.  I once saw an episode where after speaking about how celebrities and politicians use their children to illicit sympathy attention and votes, she threw pictures of her own children on screen attempting the same sort of attention seeking she was criticizing.  Yet if you were to point out the hypocrisy she would deny and justify her actions.

We cannot allow the weakest and most flammable examples of humanity to be in the fore front of important topics and discussions.  Her platform is used mainly to talk about crime in America yet there is no true discussion or debate there is only accusations and guilty verdicts before the facts have even come to light.  Many of her guest have had to go into hiding because of the anger this vermin has incited.  We need to stand up as one and say we no longer accept this propaganda this verbal violence to be broadcast across our airwaves.  If she wants to spread her hate let her do it elsewhere do not give her a platform to incite mob mentality and irrational thought.

I leave you with this thought.  A platform has been given to so many throughout the world and throughout history to speak their minds and being about change in the world, some good and some bad but there has always been that platform, but we as a society give that platform as a gift with the attention we give these people so the solution is easy, if we are the platform then we should simply remove it from beneath her feet and let her fall.  We as viewers give her the power with our attention so I subscribe to the old adage "Ignore it and it will go away."  It is my view problems should be faced but regressive ways should be forgotten.  Isn't it about time that the poison of Nancy Grace is forgotten?

Immigration and Integration

I am a big believer in the value and advantage of assimilating other people and cultures into our own. I admire the path our nation has taken in the pursuit of immigration from all countries and nationalities.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..."

This quote has been a huge influence on my life and given me the understanding that we all have immigrated from somewhere.  There is nothing that triggers my patriotism like these words, they give me a great feeling for the potential this nation has and the hope it used to illicit from the masses worldwide.  But alas we have lost our way.  Immigration has become a negative connotation invoking hatred and fear across not just our nation but many others around the world. Why?

I love the idea of immigration.  Bringing new cultures in is a way of expanding the greatness and diversity of a country but this benefit is not without its drawbacks and I believe it is important that these drawback are addressed and corrected if we still want to have immigration to keep in line with our over nostalgic society.  We in many ways see the past through rose colored glasses, believing things were better and more wholesome in the past while the present is some decayed cesspool of filth and depravity.  We are blind to the progress of the world and allow the media and government officials to play fear games with our minds convincing us the world is much more dangerous and depraved than we can imagine.  They like to ignore the fact that crime and violence are at an all time low.  This is the perfect time in human history for mass migration yet we fight it with violence, bigotry and condemnation.

Now bear with me here, I am sure you have already decided which direction I am going but I assure you there is more to this.  Yes I believe in immigration, I believe in the value of mass migration and giving people looking for a better life the chance to earn that life.  I would like to emphasize the word "Earn"  We have created a system where people who come to this country and others expect to be handed everything and do not want to attempt to insert themselves into the culture they have come to by learning the language and customs of the host country.  I have time and time again see these people who say they just want a better life asking for handouts and expecting our culture to adapt to them instead of the other way around. The more we feed into these negative expectations the more we will lose what made us great instead of immersing these people into our culture thus making us a richer and more diverse nation.

I do believe in respect of peoples culture and tradition and language to a point, but when they attempt to force the host country to capitulate to their culture it makes me take a pause and examine the truth about the situation of immigration we face.  It has become evident the way of life Americans have become accustomed to is eroding away and every transition must have a period of birth pangs before a new culture can truly assimilate into an existing one but it seems that the arriving cultures have no interest in assimilation instead they expect us to assimilate to them.

When I was young I had the opportunity to meet many people who had immigrated to the United States from other countries and it was their contention they assimilate to the culture of the host nation, they learned our laws language and culture.  They were proud to become Americans and although they were able to maintain their own set of culture and beliefs they did not try to force their cultural beliefs on others.  Do we really want the influx of Syrian refugees to bring their harsh treatment of women into our culture or do we want the freedom of our culture to influence them? This is a question we must ask ourselves.  Is the timing right for immigration? I believe yes.  But we must watch the cultural impact on our own nations very carefully.  Each of these immigrants must be made to understand we do not believe in many of their ways and we will not tolerate their behavior or we risk turning our world into theirs.

We must also understand that it is in the best interest of corporation that we fear the incoming cultures because then they are more easily able to exploit those cultures.  It is beneficial for them to hire people who do not understand their rights and therefore cannot defend themselves from dishonest and corrupt business practices.  By allowing illegal immigration we open these incoming masses to be exploited by a system that will take advantage of every weakness they can.  They practice enforcing long hours and low wages.  Make no mistake illegal immigration makes victims of us all save corporate interests.  It is nothing more than a new age of slavery and that is why immigration and assimilation is so important.  So the strong cannot dominate the weak.

Now with a huge influx of refugees businesses are foaming at the mouth to take advantage of the naivety of the new additions to their culture.  They have no interest in education these incoming people of how things work in their country and are only interested in their exploitation.

The victims are all of us who allow hatred and bigotry to guide our thoughts.  Immigration is a great thing if done correctly but by allowing unchecked masses to cross borders with little or no oversight only opens the victims and host nation up to victimization by overbearing governments and abusive corporations.

Politics and Labels

Liberal, Conservative, Republican, Democrat.  The labels in which politics describes itself. What are these things but the equivalent of religious institutions requiring a dogma of rigidity.  Dogma can be a dangerous thing leaving logic and compassion behind.

I would like to think I'm an intellectual, a person who can take the information presented and make a decision based on rationality. The issue with a person who labels themselves they will be forever pressured to make their decisions based on the dogma of their label instead of listening to the rational side of themselves.  They will even convince themselves their false positions are just, while inwardly contradicting their own words. These contradictions often lead to decisions that negatively impact society as whole bogging down our progress.

It is imperative that as a society we rid ourselves of these labels to free our minds to make logical and ration decision's free from the influence of party politics. If there must be a party then let it be a party of rationalists, people who will think for themselves and make their decisions based on the best interests of their constituents and not their peers or corporate masters.  We elect our politicians to serve us not themselves or their contributors.

We have allowed the politics of a great nation to become the butt of one continuous joke throughout the world and we can no longer think of this as acceptable.  The corruption has reached it's peak and we must ensure its demise. We must work to rid ourselves of these labels and parties before they become more than just what defines our political ideologies and turns into a quagmire of indoctrination with an inevitability of tyranny. Rigid unyielding opinions and policies can only lead to an inevitable end, Dictatorship.  It will be a world of one opinion and one rule of law, a neo-fascist state.

Will that be a world any would want to live in?  A place where the opinions of those in power will forever trump the logic of the lower classes?  We cannot afford another Nazi or North Korean state to take hold, apathy and ignorance is the greatest enemy of the masses.  While we argue and bicker over the meanings of every decision everything we are is slowly being eroded beneath our feet.  We must withdraw our capitulation to corrupt and greedy society and reinvest in what make the human race great, innovation and truth.

In ages past the label of religion was the ultimate authority, then it began to go hand in hand with an aristocracy imbuing their power on those they felt to be inferior.  No human is inferior to another, wealth an labels do not a human make.  History will judge us not by our words but our actions.  Do we really want to remain the communal joke in the present and the long joke in the future?  Or do we want to make this as the time we finally stepped form the dark ages and into the light free of the dogmatic ties that bond our minds and souls?

Prison Nation

Can we honestly say we are a civilized society if we incarcerate our fellow man for a profit, taking advantage of misery and weakness is a predatory act unforgivable in a modern age.

I want to begin this by saying that I fully support the old adage, "Do the crime, Do the time" and I believe for a true crime committed one should face a penalty with the ability for rehabilitation.  But in this society corporatism focuses on recidivism for profit.  To put it simply, rehabilitation is not in the best interests of a profit driven enterprise.  The more people they can warehouse the greater the profits.  This have become a problem all to familiar in our society where greed and the quest for power has led to the trampling of those who are in the most need of protection.

We are told the prison system in a necessary evil keeping the law abiding citizens safe from the denizens of society.  This is untrue for we have become a nation of debtors prisons and extreme penalties for misdemeanor offences.  We have taken those suffering from health issues and punished them for their illnesses and we have no taken addiction as a crime instead of an opportunity to help.  I understand there are those that cross the line and need to be incarcerated for the safety of society as a whole but when we use the power to take someones liberties and freedom of movement as a time out for unsatisfactory behavior for not following the bureaucratic policies of a profit motivated system then we are allowing tyranny to sow it seeds in our nation.

I have heard the conspiracy theories time and time again of what this nation will become, but I must ask you.  Is this nation not already worse in some aspects than the worst predictions of our less rational brothers and sisters?  We have become a nation of too big to fail and too big to jail.  We have become a nation where outright murder by officials is blamed on the victim, where the poor are imprisoned for simply being poor.  I think we all have our head in the sands as to the true goings on of this nation and have become apathetic in our responses to the creeping tyranny of those in power.  If you give them an inch they will always try and take another and another seeing how much the people will allow them to get away with.  This is the action of every government in history and only when the people or a more powerful nation have had enough is that power quelled.

We no I ask.  Should we not be quelling the power of an overbearing and overtly tyrannical system?  We can not blame this society on any individual but on the entire country as a whole.  We like to be able to blame the puppets for the action of their corporate masters but when the true political system is in the amount of money you have to throw around then the voices of the people, the true citizens of a nation are silenced.

We can no longer afford ourselves apathy my friends.  As Emerson would say.  "Stand upright and speak the rude truth in all ways."  So now I speak the rude truth.  Greed and fear rule this society.  The true seat of power in a nation is with the masses yet we have surrendered our true power out of fear for some faceless evil we have allowed to invade our consciousness.  Terrorism is a threat I agree, but there are far bigger threats to a nation when the citizens willingly give away their freedoms to feel more secure in their homes.  Never rely on other to protect yourself.

The prison system is a true reflection of where society is headed for how we treat the lowliest of our population is a testament of who we as a society truly are.  Are we a society of excess and waste? Or are we a society of rehabilitation and compassion?

I see such a great future for our species if we can defeat our greatest enemies as a society.

GREED, APATHY, FEAR, WASTE.

These are but a few of the enemies that haunt us, I am sure there are many more but I wanted to call focus to these specific things.  They all go together to influence a nation.  We vote everyday weather we know it or not for the nation we want to  live in.  By the smallest action to the biggest events we vote our consent or protest and those with power over us will always find ways to take advantage of our weakness unless we recognize what is happening and quell that power.

Live, Love, Hate

Live, Love, Hate,

My words, a barrage of bullets to the minds of others. What I say is more powerful than what I do.  I sit with nothing but a keyboard and coffee hoping to influence others who seek truth, wonder and mystery.  I want to love but I only hate.  I hate what I see, I hate what I don't see.  I want the truth to be spoken and the world to awaken and arise.  I want the age of the intellect to begin and the age of violence die.  My hatred is unlike the hatred that seethes in the soul of a racist or bigot, but a hatred for the ignorance that clouds the minds of the masses enthralling us with words to distract and redirect.  My hatred is for those who have used their intellect and power to harm the very people they are responsible to protect.  It is the responsibility of those with intelligence to help those without that strength, not take advantage of them, just as it is the responsibility of those with strength to protect the weak.  Each one of us is given a gift in life and it is important for us to discover that gift and use it for betterment of our species.  But when you use that gift to dominate your fellow man you have taken a precious gift and used it for your own gain not the gain of all.

When you use your gifts for your own profit you are damaging the whole species for you are denying all of  certain lever of enlightenment that will bring us a step closer to our full potential.  We are a hive mind and with the invention of the internet that hive mind is beginning to realize its full potential, we are now connected in a way the world has never been before.  Voice that otherwise would never have been heard are now rising above the deafening noise of propaganda and getting to the ears of those that need to hear it.  For millennia  the human race had been controlled by a few voice at the top, whether it be clergy or government those have been the only true voices to make it to the masses but now is a new age where even the faintest voice can echo over the entirety of the globe and reach the ears of those most in need.  It is time we all understood the old ways cannot survive and we must embrace a new world, a world of information, a world of intellect, a world of true freedom.

A new world is emerging.  A utopia where voices can no longer  be silenced, where tyranny and violence can no long keep progress at bay.  It seems bleak right now I understand.  Governments and corporation are trying to control everything.  That is what people who fear progress and  loss of power do.  They try to control and manipulate.  They will fail.  The more you try to suppress something the louder it will become until it reaches the consciousnesses of the world.  We are about to enter a golden age of humanity where ideas and information can no longer be controlled manipulated or propagandized, a golden age where truth exposes the lies and deceit of those with everything to lose.  Jesus said the meek will inherit the earth, with the advent of the internet and new technologies the meek are rising and the powerful that have used their strengths and gifts  for their own gain we be met out a justice that is unprecedented in the history of the human race.  This is a new world and we are all lucky to be alive to see the dawn of it.  So rejoice my reader in the dawn of the new age.  The age of reason, the age of knowledge and the hope for a better future.

Gone will be the violence and divide of the masses and in its place will be established a world that pursues knowledge not power, a world where greed is condemned not celebrated. We stand on the precipice.  Do we have the will to step over the edge?

The New Slavery

Slavery is alive and well in America, and we are the victims.

We are the unheard, the meek, the ones whose voices cannot reach the deafening decibels of the rich and powerful.  We wallow at their feet picking up the scraps they may choose to throw us.  We like to believe this is not the case but we are lying to ourselves.  We slave away barely able to support our families while the wealth gap grows ever wider.  We are constantly bombarded with propaganda of how we are the greatest nation on the face of the earth and the freedom we enjoy here is second to none.  But this is not true, we have more people in prison per capita than any nation on this planet.  Our obsession with politically correct behavior had erected a prison around the very idea of freedom of speech.  We are working hard to keep ourselves locked in a prison where the rich and powerful hold the keys.

We should celebrate the things that make us different in this nation, we should celebrate the hate, the love, the politically incorrect and the uncomfortable for this how a people and society truly advance, its not about trying not to offend any particular person or people but to be able to speak freely no matter who might be offended. By not forcing someone to hide their true feeling and thought we can truly analyze the health of a nation.

We are not looking for mere tolerance my friends but eventual acceptance of all diversity, opinions and peoples.  Acceptance is a good start but it can breed animosity, we must try and work to teach our children that all people are different, with their own opinions and philosophy's and moralities.    We have recreated the aristocracy and caste systems in America and whats worse we as a people have become content with it.  That is not the hallmark of a free society but the actions of a prison society under totalitarian rule.  If we want to change the upper echelon and re-stabilize society we must fix the base, the base is what creates the monsters and gives them the ability to stay in power.  Our violence and ignorance, our acceptance and obedience gives them reason to convince us of their necessity.

This society is not ruled by democratic law.  It is ruled by corporate law and corporate money, it is the responsibility of an advance people to root out corruption and free themselves.  But remember one thing, violence only promotes violence.  When violence is used to change a society the ones who win are most often more cruel and violent than those they replace.  It is important to use logic and thought to win back our freedom, we should not rely on greed and violence to change our society for that only creates more of the same.  If we can change society through peaceful mean and learn to recognize those hungry for power and money and prevent them from attaining those positions then we will truly be able to advance as a society.

Migration

Migration, the basic animal instinct that drives almost all species on the planet to move onto greener pastures when there environment is soured.  There is a mass migration going on in the world right now.  But it is not a migration of geese or butterflies but a migration of people, a mass exodus of people seeking better lives away from the violence, disparity and poverty of the places they would like to call home.

Every living thing on the planet has the right to seek happiness and we cannot blame these people for risking their lives to try and better the lives of themselves and those they love.  I feel for them on a grand scale and wish them luck wherever they may end up.

But we also have to look on the other side of this equation.  If there is a mass immigration of people from a third world country to a first world then it becomes the responsibility of that new country to shoulder the burden that these immigrants bring whether it be financial, medial or cultural.  When I see the activist stating their cases on boss sides I am left with one simple thought, it is a thought from a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson in his famous essay "Self Reliance"

"Oh foolish philanthropist, they love afar is spite at home."

[abbreviated quote]

It makes me think that, yes we want to show compassion and generosity to these people but in doing so we forget about the people already in our own country we need to take care of.  We have our own poor, we have our own people living in violence and hunger.  Poverty and despair are rampant in every country yet we want to focus on the problems of other countries to deflect attention from the problems of our own.  While I do believe we need to extend aid to these people and help them in an way we can, I find it hard to grasp why we should shoulder the burden in our borders instead of fixing the problems within their own.  I know the argument of leaving the solidarity of a nation to its own devices, but haven't we been meddling in the affairs of other nations too much already?  Maybe we should begin to focus on meddling for the good of that nation instead of the corporate greed of America and Europe.

I say fix our own problems before we shoulder the burden of more.

9/11

Today we look back awash with the emotion of the past fourteen years and the realization that time has moved quickly since that day.  But on that day time stood still as a shocked nation waited with baited breath for the next attack.  It was a day of horror and tragedy that awakened a sleeping nation as to the real dangers that the rest of the world presented.  We had become so used to the relative peace we have luckily been afforded in this country that to see the brutality the rest of the world is forced to endure was an eye opener for us and for the first time in many years the national consciousness became aware of the barbarity the enemies of America wished to inflict upon us.

Many will say America deserved this tragedy for the foreign policies enacted by is in the middle eastern world.  But I say, there is no justification for action when the targets are innocents.  War is war and there will always be civilian casualties, that is just a part of the horror of war, but to specifically target civilians in order to attempt to terrorize the populace to do what you want is a devolution of humanity and a huge step back for the progression of the human race.  I understand that unfortunately there is sometimes a need for violence when all other methods have been exhausted but there is absolutely no justification for the barbarity of an attack on an innocent populace.  People just want to live there day to day live, there is no way to control the actions of an overbearing and tyrannical government.  If the attacks of 9/11 were an attempt to turn the people against there government for foreign policies, then that plan severely backfired.

I have no interest in the conspiracy theories surrounding this date.  I have heard them all and even if they are all true then there is nothing that can be done about it now, if we want a better nation then we have to work for it.  I want there to be a time when we can look back on the mistakes of the past and breath a collective sigh of relief that we no longer live in that world as we do when we think about the darkness of the middle ages we are relieved we no longer live in that kind of world.

Let us take of our collective intellectual arms and fight for a better world.  If other countries are  disgusted by our foreign policy then it is the responsibility of the people of this nation to out the people who made make this great nation a target and  elect those who would look out for the best interests of the people of the nation and not the best interests of the corporations or politicians.

My friends let us mark and celebrate this day as a day where we again have the chance to progress and not regress.  Let us look upon this day and learn from it, not allow it to fuel hatred and anti-Islamic sentiment.  Religion id not evil, but every religion has fanatics that corrupt the teaching of a religion and us it in their own struggle for power, at one point it was the Christians and the Jews, now it is the Muslims, in every religion the innocent far outweigh the guilty.  So let us protect the innocent by exposing the guilty so tragedies like 9/11 never happen again.

The Bondage and Submission of America to the Elite Class

What are we as a species? Are we just a society that capitulates to an overbearing tyranny, like a wolf displaying submission? Do we just follow the pack? Rebellion is a common human trait.  Many of us rebel against what we see as wrong or against our constitution.  But where is the rebellion, why have we placated ourselves to unfair and unjust systems?  We have become apathetic to the truth and allow ourselves to be swayed by propaganda.  Why?

What is rebellion?  And what is freedom?  Can any of us say we honestly know.  Can we recite the true meaning of the words or just the dictionary definitions? Do we know the importance of those words? This is a question I have asked myself on multiple occasions when I view the news.  I see so many willing and eager to surrender their rights for safety I wonder if they understand the long-term repercussions of their actions.

Over the past few years I have witnessed many acts of violence on American soil, each one a tragedy, each one an act of barbarity.  Could these acts have been prevented? Maybe. But how much privacy and freedom must we give up to prevent random acts of savagery.  Is the idea that these acts can be prevented a pipe dream?  I find that the more freedoms we surrender in the pursuit of security the less secure we are.  We are more in bondage as a nation now than we have ever been in our entire history, yet we experience more tragedy and fear than most generations before us. We live our lives in day to day terror waiting for the next horror to occur.  Is that life? Or have we just become sheep, slaves to the shepherd?  I ask, if this is the safety our government had promised would we call them liars?  Would we drag them from their podiums into the streets and proceed to tar and feather them for all the world to see?

Although that would be a very comical sight, I believe that violence only begets violence.  To tear them from their seats of power would only prove that we are them and they are us.  We are better than them.  We must prove it.  We must stand up for what is right and tear them to pieces with words and political actions.  If you truly want to destroy and shame them, then beat them at their own game.

We allow corporatism and greed to rule our society pardoning the worst offenders to the financial stability of our society and allowing them to hide their taxes from the people it is owed.  If any standard American were to commit this crime we would be thrown in jail, so why aren't they?  We have to slam our fist on the table and demand an end to the double standard and justice systems that separate  the wealthy from the poor.  Having more money than your fellow man does not earn you special treatment in the criminal justice system.  We as a people cannot afford this double standard that allows us to be railroaded through a corrupt and broken system while enduring the horrors of a debtors prison.

We must demand an end to the deceit, we must demand an end to the injustice that separates the classes in this country.  Are we not equal?  Accruing or having wealth does not make you a better person or a higher class of person.  We are all equal and should be held to the same standards.  Is this a pipe dream? I pray not.

My friends I urge you to stand, to abandon apathy, to abandon this separation of the classes and justice.  I beg you to open you eyes and look for the true motivations and agendas of those we allow to govern us, I am confident if we do this we will discover the last thing these people have is our best interests in mind.

I leave you with this.  Remove the blinders, Awaken and arise.  Demand better of those who govern us.  Hold them to the same standards they hold us.

Questions

We sit. What are we as a species? Are we just a society that capitulate to an overbearing tyranny, like a wold displaying submission? Do we just follow the pack? Rebellion is a common human trait.  Many of us rebel against what we see as wrong or against our constitution.

What is rebellion?  And what is freedom?  Can any of us say we honestly know.  Can we recite the true meaning of the words or just the dictionary definitions? Our leaders ask us to trust then while they rape us. Is this just?  We try and usr the system to hold them responsible for their crimes yet the system is rigged and we are its victims.  Elitism sits above us thumbing their noses at us while we suffer under their cruelty.  They control our economy promising a trickle down system of wealth but all we receive in the end is crumbs, barely enough to survive.  We are indentured servants to our elitist masters yet we act as though we are free. Are we?

Responsibility

What is this world I have found myself in?  Every day I foolishly read the news knowing I will lose faith by what I read, yet I read anyway. Why?  I have to ask myself why I allow this into my life, but then I wonder.  To ignore the problems of the world, would I just be burying my head in the sand?  Would I be hiding from a world in need?  Or would I be telling the world, I will not let you in.  I will not allow you to diminish my hope, my faith in humanities future.

I regret.  Why?  Because there is so much I should have done early on, so much wasted time, so many lazy days.  I regret because I buried my head in the sand and did not act as I should have.  I did not stand up and join the chorus of other voice seeking to end the insanity they are presented with every day.  If a person ignores the truth of the world then they are smart enough to see and understand that truth, if they do nothing, they have squandered their gift.  If you see the world as it truly is, it is then your responsibility to try and add some sanity to the world you see.  Every day we all have a choice, whether to go left or right, whether to do good or evil.  Every day we are presented with choices and each choice we make affect the world we live in.  We have to decide whether or not we want to make a positive choice or a negative one.

I often wonder about the effects a single individual can have on the world as a whole, one individual person seems so small when compared to the vast ocean of humans that are out there.  But then I think of people like Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. And yes even Hitler, I think how these individual people influenced the masses in such a way as to spark a flurry of change in the world.  Then I think of the more ethereal men and women such as Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Satan, Athena, and Venus.  These are figures that have been cast into a supernatural and deity spectrum, but I think they must have been based on something more worldly.  The true stories must have had such an impact as to thrust these people into a more elevated mythos.  These beings influenced millions of individual minds over the millennia.  I wonder what these people would think of how their words have been twisted and diluted to serve the interests of a few.  There are good and evil people in history but they all have left a profound mark o the development and evolution of our species.  It is our responsibility as each successive generation to remember these words and not distort them for our own personal gain, it is the responsibility of the people who comprehend these words to bring about a positive change for future generations.

Each of us has a choice and a responsibility, we have a choice to do right or wrong, we have a responsibility to do right.  For only through our deeds and our thoughts can we affect real change throughout the world.  Let us begin anew, let us strive for more, let us love, let us live, let us hold those responsible who seek to undermine the progress and truth of humanity.  Feed the poor, love the rich, they are people too.  We each have a choice to escape the role that has been set for us and acknowledge there is another path we each can take.  Let us take the more difficult path, let us become better human, let us progress our species.
